    Course Introduction

    This beginner-level Spanish course is designed for school students with no prior experience in Spanish. Using the fun and engaging “Zoom” textbook, the course introduces key vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structures through songs, dialogues, games, and cultural exploration.
    The course is divided into two parts:
    A1.1 (Month 1): Covers greetings, numbers, family, classroom vocabulary, and basic personal details.
    A1.2 (Month 2): Focuses on home, city life, food, hobbies, and building simple conversations.

    Learning Outcomes

    By the end of the A1 level course, students will be able to:

    1. Greet and introduce themselves using correct Spanish expressions.
    2. Talk about family, school, and favorite things using basic vocabulary.
    3. Count, describe objects, and express likes and dislikes.
    4. Ask and answer simple questions using common verbs and structures.
    5. Read and understand short dialogues and texts.
    6. Write basic sentences and short paragraphs.
    7. Recognize cultural elements from Spanish-speaking countries.
    8. Present a simple oral project using vocabulary learned.

    Part 1: A1.1 (Month 1)

    Objective: Build foundational Spanish language skills through common, everyday topics.

    Week 1: Greetings & Classroom Vocabulary

    • Lesson 1: ¡Hola! Me llamo… (Greetings and introductions)
    • Lesson 2: El abecedario y la pronunciación (Alphabet & sounds)
    • Lesson 3: Objetos de la clase (Classroom objects & commands)

    Week 2: Numbers, Colors & Calendar

    • Lesson 4: Los números (1–31)
    • Lesson 5: Los días, los meses, y cumpleaños
    • Lesson 6: Los colores y formas

    Week 3: Family & Descriptions

    • Lesson 7: La familia (parents, siblings, extended family)
    • Lesson 8: Edad, ocupación, y nacionalidad
    • Lesson 9: Describir personas (alto, simpático, etc.)

    Week 4: Daily Activities & Review

    • Lesson 10: Rutinas diarias (levantarse, ir a la escuela)
    • Lesson 11: Juego de repaso y práctica oral
    • Lesson 12: Mini proyecto: “Mi familia y yo”

    Assessment: Vocabulary quiz + short dialogue + basic written paragraph

    Part 2: A1.2 (Month 2)

    Objective: Enhance conversational skills and expand vocabulary through practical themes.

    Week 1: House & Town

    • Lesson 1: Mi casa – habitaciones y muebles
    • Lesson 2: Lugares en la ciudad – tienda, parque, etc.
    • Lesson 3: ¿Dónde está…? (Prepositions of location)

    Week 2: Weather, Clothes & Free Time

    • Lesson 4: ¿Qué tiempo hace? (Weather vocabulary)
    • Lesson 5: La ropa y las estaciones
    • Lesson 6: Pasatiempos y deportes

    Week 3: Food & Dialogues

    • Lesson 7: Las comidas – desayuno, almuerzo, cena
    • Lesson 8: En el café – pedir comida, expresiones corteses
    • Lesson 9: Diálogos prácticos en la vida diaria

    Week 4: Final Review & Presentation

    • Lesson 10: Juegos y cuentos de repaso
    • Lesson 11: Preparación para la evaluación final
    • Lesson 12: Presentación final: “Mi día en español”

    Assessment: Written test + oral interview + presentation
